The vast majority of civil disputes are resolved before trial — and for good reason. Litigation is expensive, time-consuming, and uncertain. A skilled mediator can guide opposing parties to a resolution that avoids those costs while preserving relationships and providing certainty of outcome.

Steven Buckingham maintains an active mediation practice and is certified as a mediator by the South Carolina Supreme Court’s Board of Arbitrator and Mediator Certification and the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina. He is a graduate of the Advanced Negotiation Strategies program at the Harvard Extension School and the Mediation and Conflict Management program at Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation.

Fees

Mediation fees are $400 per hour, with a two-hour minimum, typically split among the parties.
